Our union will be negotiating new contract language starting in Spring 2021. There will be much more information in the next few months about this process and how we can all work together to produce positive change for faculty. This will be a team effort!
The union's objective now is to clearly identify and prioritize the problems and issues we need to address. To do that we are asking all faculty to take a few minutes to complete part-one of a two-part survey. This first part is a broad assessment covering faculty compensation, security and stability. The second survey will come later and will dig deeper into specifics and what we need to do to win a successful contract.
Remember your input is vital !!!
Here are links to this first survey:

Survey for Part-Time/Associates Faculty: Click here
Thank you all in advance for taking the time to complete this survey. Please encourage other faculty to submit the survey. We would love to get 100% participation.
Part Two
Have you ever wondered what the negotiation process is like and what are considered effective strategies for winning a successful contract?
If you answered "yes" to these questions then consider attending a training on Friday, December 11th, from 1:00 - 3:00 p.m.
This contract bargaining training will be conducted by WVMFT's Executive Director, Karen Chan. Karen has successfully negotiated many contracts for other unions and she has valuable insights concerning how to tailor strategy to make negotiations effective.
If interested in this training, please RSVP. All are welcome!
