Dear PAC Contributor: First, we want to say "thank you" for contributing to the WVMFT PAC/COPE. Your contributions will allow our PAC to be more effective at recruiting and supporting faculty-friendly trustees and candidates as we move into the 2020 elections. WVMFT has recently taken management of the PAC/COPE in-house. What this means is that the WVMFT Executive Board will now be managing the funds and filing all the reports rather than paying a contractor to do this work. The reason for this change is that our PAC was being charged a significant amount of money for this service. In an effort to lower the overhead costs for PAC management, the Executive Board will be performing these services. As a PAC contributor, the Executive Board felt that it was important to notify you of this change in case you have any questions or concerns. Lastly, we are seeking a PAC Committee Chair. If you are interested in the political work of our faculty union, please consider this important role. This is a multi-faceted, political position with the ultimate aim of promoting a Board of Trustees that truly cares about Faculty working conditions. Please respond to this email if you are interested or have questions. Kate Disney, President, WVMFT, AFT 6554 |
